
Bill has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years. He has served clients in CoreFirst’s Trust & Investments Division since 2011. He guides clients towards reaching their financial goals through active wealth management and ongoing financial planning. Bill has taught courses in financial planning, insurance planning and investment planning as an adjunct faculty member of the College for Financial Planning. He has also given retirement planning and estate planning seminars.
A graduate of the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Bill earned a B.S. in business administration and went on to obtain his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He holds the industry-respected Certified Financial Planner designation in addition to Series 7 and 66 securities registrations. Bill has twice been selected as a Five Star Wealth Manager in the Kansas City area.
The Kansas City native served as a fighter jet control officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1980 to 1983. He is the President of the Kansas City Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He is an active member of the Leawood Chamber of Commerce and a past President of the Greater Kansas City Council of the Navy League of the United States. He and his wife have two children, a 24-year-old daughter and a 21-year-old son.
